Appendix B: Sample Log File from Compatibility Check

An option during installation of Windows Server 2003 is an automatic system compatibility test. If

you select Check System Compatibility, Setup performs a comparison. The following output

shows sample results from an in-place upgrade for a Windows NT PDC.

For more information about the sample in-place upgrade, see Sample In-Place Upgrade for a

Windows NT PDC earlier in this document.

Windows Setup cannot continue without service pack 5 or greater installed.

Please install the latest Windows NT 4.0 service pack.

Exchange Server

The software for Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 Standard Edition and Microsoft

Exchange Server 5.5 Enterprise Edition is not compatible with this version of

Microsoft Windows. You must install Exchange Server 5.5 Server Pack 3 or later in

order for these programs to run under this version of Windows.
